Hazelwood Neighborhood Association board's mission is to govern, manage, and enhance the community by representing residents' interests, maintaining common areas, enforcing rules, managing finances, fostering community spirit, and liaising with local government for improvements, ultimately protecting property values and creating a better place to live.
Destiny Daniels - President
Destiny has been a resident of Hazelwood since September 30, 2024. After living for 2 years in the Toonerville Trolley neighborhood and serving as the secretary of the board for that neighborhood assoication, she brings her knowledge from that experience combined with here 20 plus years experience in the nonprofit industry to lead the newly developed Hazelwood Neigborhood Association. Destiny was formally elected to the office by a vote of her neighbors on December 1, 2025. Her term will end on December 31, 2026.
Enidza Torres - Treasurer
Enidza has been a resident of Hazelwood since 2022. Enidza hails from New Britian, Connecticut, and has a rich background in nonprofit development. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Anthropology, from Eastern Connecticut State University, and later pursued a Masters in Public Administration at Clark University in Wocester, MA.
Enidza is a people person and loves learning about people and finding connections and common threads. As a people person with roots in Puerto Rico, Enidza finds deep connection with the diverse Hazelwood community. Enidza also sits on the boards of Tumbao Collective and South Louisville Community Ministries.
Enidza was formally elected to the office of Treasurer by a vote of her neighborson December 1, 2025. Her term will expire on December 31, 2026.
Shelby Hoffmann - Secretary
Shelby Hoffmann moved to Hazelwood in early 2021, and shortly after then, started her family here. She is a proud resident but strongly believes there is always room for improvement. Shelby joined the effort in creating the HNA in hopes of seeing a brighter future for her neighborhood and all the kids growing up here. Stepping into the secretary role, she brings with her management experience and strong skills such as communication, data entry, and organization. Shelby was formally elected to the office by a vote of her neighbors on December 1, 2025. Her term will end on December 31, 2026.
